To subscribe to the ICAA as an Ordinary Member requires sending a short CV (in english) to [email protected] and payment receipt. The Ordinary Members are the scientific backbone of the Association and they are appointed on the basis of the curriculum and professional activity in the investigative and forensic field. They have to participate in one or more research projects, sponsored by the association and at the organizational level they contribute to the training activities and conferences.
The Ordinary Member ICAA, after having read and accepted the Ethic Code of the Association, may apply for membership and if accepted may participate in all training activities (free or paid) organized in various locations. The Ordinary Members may engage in guided research and publish it in the context of scientific journals related to the Association, and under the technical manuals that the ICAA publishes on a regular basis.
To be an appointed Ordinary Member ICAA you need to send a request to [email protected] enclosing a professional curriculum specifying which one of the research projects of the Association you intend to participate. The Ordinary Member appointment is determined by the ICAA Council of Delegates composed of one representative of each country who meets at a telematics meeting every month. The basic requirements to be an appointed Ordinary Member ICAA are a Specialist Degree and the frequency of one or more courses on forensic or criminological issues, as well as a proven professional experience in the forensic field. For members of the Police Force a particular qualification is not required.
The Ordinary Member ICAA received the "membership KIT" (218 US$) composed by the international card of "professional crime-scene analyst,", the certificate of membership, the professional BAG an "the badge" only on the occasion of a meeting (by appointment) with the Delegate of his country, or taking care of the shipping costs.
